Well,
It's been quite a long time since I have actually posted anything other than reviews so I think it's time to post another update... don't you think?
I have arrived safely in Germany for a study abroad that will take 10 months.
I was super excited; I met tons of other students who attended the orientation before we headed to Germany from the United States. I met 49 other students, which is quite small if you think about it. We are all finalists regarding the scholarship for the study abroad program.
Our flight was approximately 7 hours long, which I paid no attention to because I was attempting to sleep on the plane w w w w w
I used my plush Tribbles from Anime Expo as neck pillows because it was such a long, nonstop flight. I got some strange stares, but the important thing was that I was able to sleep about 5 or 6 hours, minus the time shift.
It was kind of nice: we were served the whole three meals plus tea and coffee in the morning! I like Earl Grey, so as we were passing by Great Britain I had a cup of Earl Grey just for the fun of it. My new friends had a good laugh at my reasoning for having tea.
We arrived in Frankfurt airport around 7AM.
We went to a language camp for three weeks, and just now I have moved in with my host family.
This has already been quite an adventure; I took a long walk around my village, stood on the railroad tracks, went shopping in Aachen, bought a ton of books, ate my first Spaghetti eis, and registered for my student visa.
Things are going great so far, so let's hope for the best!
