Frohe Weihnachten! Merry Christmas!

Best wishes to all of you out there!

I've been really busy on my study abroad and haven't had time to blog at all this year...
Well, that's okay. I will be planning to blog frequently again come June or July (when I return to the States).
So far, my time in Germany has been quite pleasant. I now live in a very farmland area with about 800 people in total living in this village. My host family has been very kind, although there are naturally disputes and chaos at times like Christmas and so forth.
I will be participating in the village's Showtanz group for Karneval in February
So it's really going to be something!
Perhaps, I will post some pictures after the celebrations are over.

For now,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Now in Germany!

Well,
It's been quite a long time since I have actually posted anything other than reviews so I think it's time to post another update... don't you think?

I have arrived safely in Germany for a study abroad that will take 10 months.
I was super excited; I met tons of other students who attended the orientation before we headed to Germany from the United States. I met 49 other students, which is quite small if you think about it. We are all finalists regarding the scholarship for the study abroad program.
Our flight was approximately 7 hours long, which I paid no attention to because I was attempting to sleep on the plane w w w w w
I used my plush Tribbles from Anime Expo as neck pillows because it was such a long, nonstop flight. I got some strange stares, but the important thing was that I was able to sleep about 5 or 6 hours, minus the time shift.
It was kind of nice: we were served the whole three meals plus tea and coffee in the morning! I like Earl Grey, so as we were passing by Great Britain I had a cup of Earl Grey just for the fun of it. My new friends had a good laugh at my reasoning for having tea.
We arrived in Frankfurt airport around 7AM.

We went to a language camp for three weeks, and just now I have moved in with my host family.
This has already been quite an adventure; I took a long walk around my village, stood on the railroad tracks, went shopping in Aachen, bought a ton of books, ate my first Spaghetti eis, and registered for my student visa.

Things are going great so far, so let's hope for the best!

Feelcon 30 Days Comfy Natural Circle Black Lens Review

Long time, no blog update!
I've been so busy with life, I forgot to blog it out w w w
But that's really not a good thing, now is it? ||orz

As of now,
I'm sitting at an airport terminal, typing away on my small Chromebook
I'm waiting to meet up with my group, then we'll head off to Germany
How fun

Anyway,
Here's a review on the black lenses I got back a while ago
I hope this makes up for my laziness this past month

These are the
Comfy Natural Circle Black lenses!

Both lenses

One lens

Information:
Color: Black
Base curve: 8.6mm
Diameter: 14.2mm
Water content: 55%
Duration: 1 month/30 days
Manufacturer/Company: Feelcon Lenses

Color and Design: 3/5

The design's pretty simple, as it's just there for a natural enlarging effect on eyes. I'd say that, although the lenses look pretty pixelated, they still blend in with my natural eye color and don't look like they are fake from afar. I've never had the problem of someone noticing that I was wearing circle lens... but maybe that's just me and the people I hang out with. The color of the lens are pretty dark, but not overwhelmingly black colored. That's perfect; I was looking for a natural circle lens, and I got it.

Enlargement: 2/5

These lens are supposed to look natural, so it's understandable that they do not enlarge my iris much. As you can see in the pictures, there is a slight enlargement that (to me at least) makes a pretty big difference. I can wear these lens out without makeup; it's really great, especially on days where I vegetate on the couch or in bed while browsing the internet on my smart phone.

Comfort: 4/5

Comfy Natural Circle lenses are pretty comfortable for me. I heard that the brown lenses weren't very good, so I avoided those and went for these. They have enough moisture to keep my eyes hydrated, so I don't have to use eye drops during the day. I can claim that they really are comfy, as the name tells me so.

Vision: 4/5

Since I have prescription, I usually test how well I can see with different lens. These ones are pretty good on clear vision. I don't have to squint to see things that are far away from me (I am very nearsighted). The only thing I wish it didn't do was slip from time to time, due to my off base curve of 8.3mm instead of the general 8.6mm. Other than that, it's pretty great at correcting my vision.

Overall: 3.75/5

I like these lens! They're really comfortable, natural, and a fun accessory to have. Since they correct my vision, I pretty much wear them daily and take them out once it hits the 8 hour mark. They are 11.99USD and monthlies, so they can be a little expensive... but not as much as the Freshlook Colorblends! Those drained my wallet. These Comfy lens give me some character and spunk, defining my natural eye color with the rim of black. Definitely, if you want a lens type that people won't notice then get these. They're worth it!

Here's the difference between the Comfy Black and my Fairy 1 day Chocolate lenses
Left: Comfy Black, Right: Fairy Chocolate

Full face photo, as always
I dyed my hair with Prettia! Now it's a pinkish brown color with blond tips
I love it!

Thanks for spending the time to read this!
See you in my next post!!

Out Partying All Night Long

Over these past two nights,
I did nothing but go to parties and have some time to get rid of stress!

Some selcas/selfies I took before going to the event yesterday were still on my phone
So I'll just leave them here

I'd say I had a really good time!

Double Eyelid Success!

Finally!
My eyelids are finally evened out!! w w w
After a year and a half,
All the hard work of applying double eyelid glue, tapes and fiber have paid off

Here are some comparison pictures:

from 2012 to summer of 2013!

I am now able to put on makeup without having the trouble of uneven eyelids

Swimming in Makeup

I haven't been able to post all of my photos taken while I was on lunch breaks
So here are the rest of them in piled into one post...

I like this "babydoll" hairstyle
My hair curls better when I put them up in pigtails for some odd reason

Close up of my makeup
I use two types of mascara; a lightweight one for my top lashes so they don't uncurl, and a heavier weighted one for my lower lashes so they curl downward because mine grow upward

This is my more nightlife makeup when we went out to party
It was a pretty long day, so excuse the smudged bits

That's all I had during this last week of work in Los Angeles!

Liv Tyler Inspired Makeup

Because I watched the two seasons of Sherlock from BBC (I accidentally got my aunt hooked to the show),
I felt as if I needed to do some research on the actors
Unlike many of my friends, I was interested in Martin Freeman
So I researched him first
Then, I found out about Benedict Cumberbatch
There were some rumors going on about Cumberbatch dating Liv Tyler earlier on in the year
And that's how I was inspired to recreate Liv Tyler's look on my own face!

That was a lot of explaining, and the whole process is really kind of confusing w w
How could I become inspired by Liv Tyler through Benedict Cumberbatch?
Who knows... The mind works in very strange ways

The makeup I used:
-Daiso Double Eye Pencil eyebrow pencil (brown, 2 shades)
-Daiso Pearl in Eye Shadow neutral palette A
-Maybelline Matte Mousse
-Maybelline New York Great Lash: Lots of Lashes mascara (black)
-Apple Mamey Super Lash mascara (black)
-Nicka K New York brush liquid eyeliner pen (black)
-Victoria Jackson blush palette (bright pink)
-Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics lip tar (in Psycho)

Here is my result!
It's only half of my face because I was too lazy to do the rest w w ||orz

It was difficult to shape my eyebrows because I do not have long eyebrows like Liv Tyler
Instead, I had to draw my brows dramatically so they would look like hers

I am in love with lip tar
I really like to have bright lipstick during the summer, and this lip tar really does the trick
Try it out next time you feel ambitious
It's worth it.

If you were going to dress up as a celebrity, who would you be?

Daiso Charcoal Face Peel Mask Review

Today
I'm reviewing on a face peel mask from Daiso!

So, the instructions tell you to:
First, cleanse your face thoroughly. Then, use a generous amount of product and evenly distribute it around your face, avoiding the eyes and eyebrows. Wait for the peel to dry (approximately 15 to 20 minute wait), then slowly peel away from your face, bottom up.

The peel is in a liquid/gel form to slather onto the skin. It was very thick and dried a little quickly when I tried to spread it on, so I think using copious amounts of it would do justice if you wanted to cover your whole face. Nevertheless, I was able to coat my face within minutes.

Here's a not quite glamorous picture of how it came out w w

After it dried, I proceeded to peel it off of my face. It was a little painful near my eye sockets, but it didn't seriously hurt me in any way.
I did, however, try to move my face while the peel was still on, and I really couldn't move my face! w w w w
I guess that's a good thing; I know that it really has dried all the way!!

So now...

Ta-dah! I didn't use any concealer or BB cream at all!
(But I did use a different camera angle this time)
My skin felt very smooth after the face peel mask and any black heads were gone.

Pros:

-Smooth texture
-Great outcome
-Great price (only $1.50 USD, can you believe it?!)
-Dries completely without mess

Cons:

-Does not spread easily
-Difficult to remove tiny leftover bits of peel from skin

I'm definitely going to repurchase this in the near future. I have been looking for a nice face peel for a cheap price, and I think I may have found it! Daiso has some of my favorite products!
And so that's my review!

Popping Candy Brown Lens Review

So, tonight
I'm doing a review of the

Popping Candy Brown Lens

One lens
Both

Up close and personal w w w

Information:
Color: Brown
Base curve: 8.6
Water content: 38~42%
Diameter: 14.5mm
Manufacturer: Dueba
Duration: 1 year/12 months

Design and Color: 4/5

The Popping Candy lenses looks just like the Neo Cosmo Glamour series, but they don't much of a soft outer ring as the Neo Cosmo ones do, which I personally prefer. They look stunning, though! The color shows up very well on my eye, changing my brown eyes into a hazelish amber color. It matches my hair color! The base curve is 8.6, so it was expected to slide around when I look around too fast because my base curve is measured at 8.3.

Enlargment: 3/5

Although they are labeled as 14.5mm lens, they look smaller than that. I would say they are more like 14.2mm when I wear them. It's not a problem, though! That means 0.3mm of the lens' edge is clear and has no color. I think it's a very smart design.

Comfort: 3.5/5

At first, after soaking them, they kind of stung a bit when I put them on. After soaking them for another day, I tried them again and they felt fine, but kept slipping. I think it takes a few days for lens to get used to the curvature of my eyes, or for my eye to get used to wearing the lens; either way, it needs progression, but that is my personal experience with all contact lens. Thankfully, after those few days, it was fine and they give me no problems. I can wear them for a full 8 hours without problems or need of eye drops. The lens are very thin and remind me of monthlies, but they're actually yearlies!

Vision: 4/5

I can see just fine with these lens. I don't wear my glasses over circle lens, so these lens really corrected my vision and I can see clearly. The only time it gets a little blurry (or when I see a double silhouette of something) is when I'm tired or I open my eyes too wide, causing the lens to slip downward.

Overall: 3.5/5

Popping Candy lenses are really amazing at changing eye color! I can see why so many models in oneegal/oneegyaru magazines like this type of pattern. They look stunning in photos as well!

They kind of make me look more mature..(?)

Thanks for reading this post!

Makeup Inspired by Hozumi Numajiri

Well, here's to another day of makeup testing w w
I'm really a fan of hostess Hozumi Numajiri
She has such a dramatic life story!!!

Hozumi Numajiri is an Agejo model for Koakuma Ageha Magazine
You can read more about her history here

So here I am attempting to recreate Hozumi's gorgeous face

Look at those roots... ||orz

And once I turn my face to another angle, I no longer look anything like her w w w

And here is a closeup of the makeup:

Surprisingly, I only used one pair of half top lashes
The rest of my lashes are coated with mascara!
I also had to use a stroke of eyelid glue because my right eyelid isn't being obedient today

Today's coordinate was a loose LOVE printed sweater and black felt skinny jeans

If you had one person to dress up or turn yourself into,
Who would it be?

(I look so different when I smile... it really changes my face)
