Lotsa Lashes Talk

It's the end of the week! Yay!!
I'm so relieved to know that things will be going smoothly this year

May I announce
I'm staying in Los Angeles for the summer!
Kimimi and I are participating in Anime Expo's Artist Alley
So as soon as I announce the booth number
Be sure to check us out!!! w w

I'm anxious to get all my prints and products ready to be sold there
Not to mention getting the costumes I'm going to wear during Anime Expo done as well

Anyway,
I was trying out some new makeup styles that I might consider using for the summer
I'm going to be wearing lots of false lashes, so I decided to try putting mascara on my lower lashes and sticking them together

This is the result:
My left lashes were shorter than my right, which was frustrating
And I already have very straight and short eyelashes

This is what it looks like when I look down (without my top false lashes on)

I think it looked messier than if I put on lower false lashes, but those usually tend to come off during the middle of the day
Especially when I'm super active!

So then Amu took full face photos of my makeup
The coloring on this one came out a lot more vivid than the others
And my nose looks funny

Weird faces have to be Amu's favorite to take pictures of
I'm serious...

I used the Daylight (matte), Kitten Heel (Shimmer), Gaze (Shimmer), and Guest List (Shimmer) eye shadows palette from Lancome as a tester for this style
I have to say that Kitten Heel shadow is by far my favorite! It's a shimmering shadow that is a pink-gold color. In the light, it reflects flecks of gold color while the undertone is a nice pink
The Guest List shadow is also really nice for a smoky eye effect or if you want a darker shade; it blends very well with the other colors

So how does it look to you?
Would you try this technique to substitute applying lower false lashes?

Big Eye Make!

Today

I spent the time to try out big eye makeup

Here's how it went
Sorry, my makeup is sort of caked on because I was out in the floral district earlier

I used my Micro Fiber eyelid tape (fiber) to readjust my eyelid fold
I like to have a very high double eyelid crease because it makes your eyes looks even bigger!!

I used 14.5mm lens, but I think this makeup style should use
15mm to 16mm circle lens
For a really DOLLY effect!!!

Review and tutorial on Micro Fiber is coming up soon!

False Eyelashes!!

Today

I tried mixing eyelashes for a dramatic effect without a lot of eyeliner or eye shadow
In this particular piece,
I didn't use any eye shadow at all!

I used three pairs of eyelashes:

1) Darkness EO Top Eyelash, 473 yen
2) Decorative (Bottom) Eyelash no.4, 1025 yen
3) Eye Lashes (Extensions), 157 yen

The lashes I bought were very affordable and they feel really soft on my eyelids

First, I put on my eyeliner normally with no flares
Then I applied the Eye Lashes extensions to my top eyelid on the outer corner
After, I put the Darkness lashes on right above the Eye Lashes extensions
Then, I applied the Decorative Eyelash to the bottom of my eye
(I usually put the edge of the eyelash 2cm away from the outer corner of my eye)
I touch up with eyeliner on the top of my eyelid and the outer corner of my eyelashes
Also, I draw a crease line near my tear ducts to extend it and outline a little below the waterline; the inner corner of my eye

The result is

Pretty dramatic!

No eye shadow is required to make this
I find that my eye shadow creates a very powdery effect on my skin, which I don't like unless I am going to take pictures (the lighting is very important!)
And I was very satisfied with it

It is very dolly
But won't make your makeup look caked on either

Can't decide which eyelash to wear?
You can mix and match your eyelashes and just try them out like this!!
This will not only save you time,
But it will also help you save money instead of buying thicker false lashes!

What I'm wearing:
-Skin 79 BB Cream (Pink Edition)
-K Palette Long Lasting Eyeliner (24h wp)
-Darkness EO eyelash
-Eye Lashes extensions eyelash
-Decorative Eyelash bottom eyelash
-Feelcon 30 Days Comfy Black circle lens (14.5mm)

Stay tuned for more!

Jumily No.6 False Lashes Review

Here’s my review for Jumily No. 6 bottom lashes!
In the box/packaging

The second and third pictures are before and after
I used Elf’s top lashes that are only $1
The Jumily No. 6 lashes are cut into fourths, so they look pretty small. I only use 1/2 of a lash since I don’t need too much emphasis on my eyes for the makeup technique I’m using, so this is a good deal!
The lashes themselves are very easy to put on, though you may need a steady hand. A tweezer made for applying eyelashes is always helpful. After the party I went to, the eyelashes were not falling off or fraying at all! When I took them off, they were easy to clean; the makeup washed right off when I soaked them for a minute or so.
Though, these design of lashes are so small, you need to make sure that you pay attention to where they are; they’ll be gone if a slight gust of wind blows it if it is loose.
Overall, I’m really happy with Jumily and their products!
Thank you so much, my Yuzuki, for these Jumily lashes! I’m in love with them!
