Swimming in Makeup

I haven't been able to post all of my photos taken while I was on lunch breaks

So here are the rest of them in piled into one post...

I like this "babydoll" hairstyle

My hair curls better when I put them up in pigtails for some odd reason

I use two types of mascara; a lightweight one for my top lashes so they don't uncurl, and a heavier weighted one for my lower lashes so they curl downward because mine grow upward

This is my more nightlife makeup when we went out to party

It was a pretty long day, so excuse the smudged bits

That's all I had during this last week of work in Los Angeles!

Liv Tyler Inspired Makeup

Because I watched the two seasons of Sherlock from BBC (I accidentally got my aunt hooked to the show),

I felt as if I needed to do some research on the actors

Unlike many of my friends, I was interested in Martin Freeman

So I researched him first

Then, I found out about Benedict Cumberbatch

There were some rumors going on about Cumberbatch dating Liv Tyler earlier on in the year

And that's how I was inspired to recreate Liv Tyler's look on my own face!

That was a lot of explaining, and the whole process is really kind of confusing w w

How could I become inspired by Liv Tyler through Benedict Cumberbatch?

Who knows... The mind works in very strange ways

The makeup I used:

-Daiso Double Eye Pencil eyebrow pencil (brown, 2 shades)

-Daiso Pearl in Eye Shadow neutral palette A

-Maybelline Matte Mousse

-Maybelline New York Great Lash: Lots of Lashes mascara (black)

-Apple Mamey Super Lash mascara (black)

-Nicka K New York brush liquid eyeliner pen (black)

-Victoria Jackson blush palette (bright pink)

-Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics lip tar (in Psycho)

Here is my result!

It's only half of my face because I was too lazy to do the rest w w ||orz

It was difficult to shape my eyebrows because I do not have long eyebrows like Liv Tyler

Instead, I had to draw my brows dramatically so they would look like hers

I am in love with lip tar

I really like to have bright lipstick during the summer, and this lip tar really does the trick

Try it out next time you feel ambitious

It's worth it.

Makeup Inspired by Hozumi Numajiri

Well, here's to another day of makeup testing w w

I'm really a fan of hostess Hozumi Numajiri

She has such a dramatic life story!!!

Hozumi Numajiri is an Agejo model for Koakuma Ageha Magazine

So here I am attempting to recreate Hozumi's gorgeous face

Look at those roots... ||orz

And once I turn my face to another angle, I no longer look anything like her w w w

And here is a closeup of the makeup:

Surprisingly, I only used one pair of half top lashes

The rest of my lashes are coated with mascara!

I also had to use a stroke of eyelid glue because my right eyelid isn't being obedient today

Today's coordinate was a loose LOVE printed sweater and black felt skinny jeans

If you had one person to dress up or turn yourself into,

Who would it be?

(I look so different when I smile... it really changes my face)

Makeup Experimenting

I have been so busy with work,

I forgot to upload some pictures I took of my makeup!!

This is a new look I tried for my evening shifts

Also,

I trimmed my bangs a little differently this time

Can you tell? It's a lot thinner at the ends

I tried to pose like Aikawa Kozue, but I think I look more like Hozumi Numajiri instead w w

They look so natural that it's crazy

April Fever!

It's been so busy this month!

Thankfully, I had some time to celebrate on April 13th~

April 13th was Homestuck day, so I dressed up as Roxy Lalonde

My outfit was bought from Yes Style back in 2012

Curling my hair was interesting because I had to spray it with hairspray first and use a straightening iron to make the curls instead

Nevertheless, I think it turned out OK.

My right eye did some strange double eyelid fold, so I just left it alone

Thankfully, I didn't have to fix it because it looked pretty alright in the photos! w w

When Auditioning For Egg and Ageha Magazine...

Always plan your schedule to be free for many years to come!

I forgot that I have to be away for a year

Therefore, I cannot model for any magazines this time

Too bad, huh?

Ageha and Egg Magazine are my favorites, but I can't participate in them just yet...

Oh well,

I just have to set modeling aside on the back burner for now

Here's some of my makeup I attempted at once again

I tried to apply it as cleanly as I could, so I'm quite happy with the amount of effort I put into this!

As you can see, my roots are showing pretty badly! I really need to get my hair redone.... orz

Again, I will always make this face until I somehow get over this faze (not really) w w w

So, I also did a closeup on my eyemake 

For this look, I had to put on all the makeup and lashes first,

Then I used eyelid glue (from Daiso) to make my eyelid crease really high!

Surprisingly, it stayed and didn't ruin my natural eyelid folds afterwards w w

It was a very happy makeup session

It's the end of the week! Yay!!

I'm so relieved to know that things will be going smoothly this year

So as soon as I announce the booth number

Not to mention getting the costumes I'm going to wear during Anime Expo done as well

Anyway,

I was trying out some new makeup styles that I might consider using for the summer

I'm going to be wearing lots of false lashes, so I decided to try putting mascara on my lower lashes and sticking them together

This is the result:

My left lashes were shorter than my right, which was frustrating

And I already have very straight and short eyelashes

This is what it looks like when I look down (without my top false lashes on)

I think it looked messier than if I put on lower false lashes, but those usually tend to come off during the middle of the day

Especially when I'm super active!

So then Amu took full face photos of my makeup

The coloring on this one came out a lot more vivid than the others

And my nose looks funny

Weird faces have to be Amu's favorite to take pictures of

I'm serious...

I used the Daylight (matte), Kitten Heel (Shimmer), Gaze (Shimmer), and Guest List (Shimmer) eye shadows palette from Lancome as a tester for this style

I have to say that Kitten Heel shadow is by far my favorite! It's a shimmering shadow that is a pink-gold color. In the light, it reflects flecks of gold color while the undertone is a nice pink

The Guest List shadow is also really nice for a smoky eye effect or if you want a darker shade; it blends very well with the other colors

JAV Gyaru is the Most Mature I Have Been

Over this week,

I've been more and more interested in the world of  JAVs starring Gyaru girls

JAV is Japanese Adult Video (only 18+ year olds should be able to watch them), so yes. I do go and watch them from time to time w w

Anyway! I decided to go behind the scenes and talk to some of my friends who work in the industry about their makeup routine.

I found out, their Gyaru style is much like the one in Egg Magazine

It includes a lot of eyeliner, stacked false lashes, and tons of glitter these days.

So I asked my friend Amu to help me create the look

This is how it ended up:

w w w SUPER huge difference in my regular appearance, yeah?

But there's still more pictures we took..

Over exposure to light! UOAAH

Today's outfit was this w w It was supposedly passable for an AV actress, but somehow I'm doubting it

I got a new phone! It's a Android RAZR HD

I got a pink case with it from a vendor at the mall

The phone's camera is really clear and has good definition!! I used it to take all these pictures w I barely have to brighten or sharpen my pictures now

So, the makeup for AV Gyaru is pretty much layers after layers and can become pretty messy

Sometimes, I feel like my face is going to droop because of all the makeup on it!

The glitter didn't come out neatly, but that's because I was using NYX Glitter Eye Shadow cream without a base primer for my eyelids...

And that's the extend of my weekend!

It was fun pretending to be an AV Gyaru actress and dressing up like Izumi Mana who's gotten news to buzz around her for a time

I participated in a "Thriller" flash mob today!!

Anatomy is so fun to draw on my face

I had lots of amazing events today

I want to thank my fellow dancers for cooperating so well

There was a mishap in the beginning of the song (it glitched), but I'm glad we didn't freak out and all that jazz w w w

I also want to thank Instructor for helping us keep the beat

We were lively!

Big Big Eyed Princess

This week has been so busy!

It's not easy juggling stress of business and other things

Well,

On Wednesday, I decided to try out a new technique of dramatic makeup

Finally! I have some nice quality pictures

w w

Someone told me that my eyes are damaged because I wear circle lens.

It's really not true! There are so many people who wear contact lens and circle lens!!

We have to take care of our circle lens and make sure its environment is clean so our eyes won't get infected.

I almost wanted to say to the person,

"Are you kidding me?"

The whole scare of circle lens damaging your eyes is a myth.

As long as you follow instructions for lens care and stay away from defective and fraud circle lens, your eyes will be in good shape.

w w w Enough of my ranting

Now I feel like purchasing some circle lens with HUGE enlargement!!

Any suggestions?
