I won Anna's (Fenua Beaute) Giveaway! Twist Tornado Green Circle Lens Review

It's been months late, but I finally got around to do this!
First, and most importantly, I want to thank Anna for hosting the great giveaway on her blog
She's a fantastic blogger and her layout is spectacular! If you don't already follow her on GFC, go and do it. I'm sure you'll enjoy all of her posts as much as I do. She writes in both English and German, which I find is very unique and dandy!!

I won:

Twist Tornado Green (from Speciallens.com)!

One lens

Both lens (with eyeliner w)

Information:
Color: Green
Water content: 38%
Diameter: 14.5mm
Manufacturer: Dueba
Base curve: 8.6
Duration: 1 year/12 months
Disposable soft lens

Design and Color: 4/5

When I first saw these lenses online, I thought they didn't look spectacular but I decided to try it anyway. I said to myself, "Hey, maybe they'll be nice on my eyes and I might actually like them." And I was right! I really love the design of these lens on my eyes. They are swirls, and remind me a bit of the Barbie Eye lens... Color-wise, the green really shows nicely and changes my eye color. It really was a good pick.

Enlargement: 3.5/5

Since it is a 14.5mm diameter lens, it enlarges just enough to make my eyes look bigger! I'm glad that they are only 14.5mm, though, because I don't prefer to look like a bug w w w I think 14.5mm is a good match for me as of right now. It still gives me a cute and dolly look that I want.

Comfort: 4/5

I didn't have to use eye drops for the first 5 hours! I'm pretty satisfied that it didn't dry out during the day since, in my town, the sun is getting pretty bright even though it's supposed to be wintertime w w I think it was a miracle that these lens can withstand the glaring sunlight, so 5 hours without eye drops is totally amazing in this aspect. I think, when it is less sunny, these lens won't dry out at all the entire day.

Overall: 4/5

Really in love with these lens right now! I suggest getting these for a nice eye color change, and if you still want a black rim around the edge of the circle lens. I imagine it would be great for cosplay and even modeling pictures. w w w w OK, all modeling pictures that I have seen look good with circle lens, but that is just my opinion (I think I may have read too much Ageha and Popteen years back). Thanks, Anna and Speciallens.com!

Thanks for reading this review!

G&G Blossom Brown Lens Review

Before I start
I apologize for the messy quality of the pictures!!
It's been a really busy week for me and I look so tired ||orz
So now...

I'm reviewing

G&G Blossom Brown

One lens comparison
Both lens

Information:
Color: Brown
Water content: 38%
Diameter: 14.5mm
Manufacturer: G&G
Base curve: 8.6
Duration: 1 year/ 12 months
Disposable soft lens

Design and Color: 4/5

The brown really looks very golden-yellow to me, but I guess it is considered as a brown..? I'm not very fond of yellow tints, but I think it looks OK on my eyes. I believe that the yellow would look super beautiful on a lighter eye color, but that is just my opinion. The blossom design is really pretty and it reminds me of slightly curved tidal waves.

Enlargement: 3.5/5

14.5mm are really a nice match for my liking right now. It gives me incentive to wear some makeup... just the minimal necessities. The black ring makes it look a bit smaller than it really is, but nevertheless, it is still pleasing and I definitely notice a change in enlargement.

Comfort: 3/5

I'd say that these aren't the greatest lens to wear for a whole 8 to 10 hours. They start to sting after having them in for 4 hours. I tried eye drops, but it really wasn't helpful. I would love to wear these out longer, but I guess it will only be for photos and short trips outside.

Overall: 3.5/5

I like these lenses, but I'm not sure if I can appreciate them to its fullest because of the uncomfortable dryness in my eyes. Perhaps, my opinion will change later on. Not a bad purchase, though! It was a nice price, so I am very happy I got them. They look mystic in their own way. (*^_^*)

Halloween is almost here!! What are you dressing up as?

I want to cosplay as Iruka Umino (from Naruto), but we'll see how everything goes!!

See you later!!

Gothic 3tones Turquoise Circle Lens Review

Hello!!!

Today's review is for:

Gothic 3tones Turquoise!

One lens inserted
Both lens

Information:
Color: Blue (turquoise)
Water content: 38%
Diameter: 14.5mm
Manufacturer: Dueba
Base curve: 8.6
Duration: 12 months/1 year
Disposable soft lens

In this case, I'm wearing these lens everyday, so they will only last for about 3 months.

Design and Color: 4/5

First of all, the lens is... well, a tri-colored lens! I really love how much it blends with my real eye color in natural light because of the design pattern. The color is pretty opaque and changes my eye color. The only thing I don't really prefer much is the pixel-like outer ring of grey color because it proves that the blue eye color is fake. But from afar, it looks like the real deal!

Enlargement: 3.5/5

I'd say that the Gothic 3tones series are very natural in both color and in enlargement even though it is 14.5mm. It enhances my eyes and makes them shine, but the enlargement is not over the top and super dolly looking. Though, I really like how the lens are easy to wear and great for using daily... or weekly, in some cases.

Comfort: 4/5

These lens are pretty comfortable! At first, it felt a little uncomfortable because circle lens are thicker than regular 1 month/2 week disposable lens made by companies like Acuvue and Freshlook. After a few days of trying these on, it began to feel normal and now I don't have any discomfort from the thickness of the lens at all! The only thing that kind of bothers me is that the lens does slide in my eye sometimes, but that's because my base curve is not exactly 8.6mm. My eye is actually 8.3mm in base curve, but I haven't had much trouble about that.

Overall: 4/5

Lovely lens, great color, subtle but good enlargement; that's what I like about my circle lens! These are really affordable lens that you can wear whether it is for a party, a casual event, or if you just want to bring a little flare to your everyday routine. I'd really recommend this to someone who doesn't want super huge eyes, but just enough to notice a difference!

I took this picture in front of the window sill! The blue color really shows on my brown eyes!!

Vassen Nova Red Circle Lens Review

It's time for the long awaited circle lens review!

Today, I am reviewing

Vassen Nova Red

It came with a cute orange pig lens case!

One lens inserted
Both lens

Information:
Color: Red
Water content: 38%
Diameter: 14.5mm (with said 16mm effect)
Manufacturer: Vassen
Base curve: 8.6
Duration: 12 months/1 year
Disposable soft lens

Design and Color: 5/5

As you can see in the pictures, the design has clear spaces in between each stroke of red coloring. Although it has those clear parts, the color shows through so vividly; I'm not worried about the clear gaps in the design at all! In fact, I think it looks very pretty.
The red color is SO vibrant! Even though I am colorblind, I can tell a difference in my eye color even from far away. This is a lens that won't fail you if you want dramatic change.

Enlargement: 5+/5

When Vassen marks these lens with a 16mm effect, they're not kidding! It's as huge as my Walkure Brown lens... but just a little bigger! They're super huge, so makeup would really help when wearing these red lens.

Comfort: 5/5

My eyes love Vassen and EOS/Dueba lens for some reason. They feel very smooth when you insert them, and they stay smooth and hydrated in your eyes for over 5 hours! It's really an amazing feeling.

Overall: 5/5

Loving these lens right now! I bought them for only cosplay purposes, but now I think I will be using them for a daily basis too. If you want red eyes and good enlargement, these are an awesome pair of circle lens that you don't want to miss!

No makeup because today is my day off!!!

Big Eye Make!

Today

I spent the time to try out big eye makeup

Here's how it went
Sorry, my makeup is sort of caked on because I was out in the floral district earlier

I used my Micro Fiber eyelid tape (fiber) to readjust my eyelid fold
I like to have a very high double eyelid crease because it makes your eyes looks even bigger!!

I used 14.5mm lens, but I think this makeup style should use
15mm to 16mm circle lens
For a really DOLLY effect!!!

Review and tutorial on Micro Fiber is coming up soon!
